ASCII Paper

Privacy policy

Effective 31 October 2026. Applies to the ASCII Paper apps for Android, macOS, Windows and Linux, and to the ASCII Paper new tab extension for Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

The short version

ASCII Paper has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your wallpapers, pictures and videos stay on your device. The app only talks to our server when you use the Community.

What stays on your device

The browser extension

The new tab extension collects nothing. It saves your chosen scene and your clock, search and shuffle settings in your browser profile. If you turn on Shortcuts, it reads your browser's list of most visited sites on your device to show them, and saves the ones you pin in your profile; that list never leaves your device. Text you type in its search box goes straight to the search engine you set in your browser, the same as searching from the address bar. It has no Community features and never contacts our server.

What the Community sends

Submitted looks are reviewed before they become public. Once approved, their title, optional name and look code are visible to everyone using ASCII Paper.

Where it is stored

Community data is stored with Supabase, our database provider. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.

Removing your data

Email contact@medhub.one with the title of the look you want removed, or ask us to delete everything linked to your install. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.

Children

ASCII Paper is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we update this page and its date. Questions: contact@medhub.one.
